In this thread, I'll give you all the Mega Stone locations. This Guide is for both versions.
It's pretty easy to find the Stones. You can do this whole Process besides the Stylish part in between 8pm and 9pm.
All you need is a bunch of Repels, Waterfall, Surf, and Rock Smash.

To Start this all off, you have to be in Post Game. (beaten the Elite 4)

You also need to have Upgraded your Mega Ring. Professor Sycamore will upgrade your ring in Anistar City. (he's over there by that massive pink crystal) But that's only after you beat your Rival in Kiloude City. To get your Rival to appear in Kiloude City, you have to battle at least 1 fight in the Battle Mansion in the city. (just fight one battle in the battle Mansion and retire) After that, your rival will appear by the pond north of the city. Then you battle her and at the end, she'll give you Absolite and tell you that the Professor has found the secret to the Mega Stones.

You can only find Mega Stones between 8pm to 9pm game time. (when the light is on the big pink crystal in Anistar City)

*Mega Stones on the ground will appear as a shiny purple spot.

Mega Stone Locations:

• Alakazite: Reflecting Caves B3 - Enter Reflecting Caves from Shalour City on the bottom floor you can see a door behind a ledge you can't pass. An the North side of the floor, you can see the entrance to the room in the mirror on the North wall. Go through the room, grab Gyro Ball and follow the path and the Mega Stone will be in a patch of light at the end.
  
• Kangaskhanite: Glittering Caves - Enter the cave, take a right and go straight.
  
• Pinsirite/Heracronite: Santalune Forest - When you enter the forest, go past the big tree until you're at the end of the open space and to the far left side of the corner and the Mega Stone will be there.
  
• Gyradosite: Couriway Town - Got to the Waterfalls to the right of the Hotel and behind they guy standing in front of them. This Mega Stone is in the middle Waterfall.
  
• Scizorite: Frost Cavern - Behind Abomasnow, lol.
  
• Tyranitarite/Aggronite: Cyllage City Gym - Climb the first rock wall and then instead of continuing into the gym, climb the rock wall on the right to the small dead end.
  
• Mawilite: Shabboneau Castle 2F - Right by the left stair case.
  
• Medichamite: Laverre City - In front of the well.
  
• Manectricite/Houndoominite: Route 16 - Behind the large rock that the 2 Roller Skaters are circling.
  
• Banettite: Chamber of Emptiness - Go on route 22 before entering Victory Road Entrance, Surf on the water South and go down the waterfall and then go to your right, a psychic will be near the entrance. It's at the very end of the cave.
  
• Garchompite: Victory Road - On the left side of the area between the Hex Girl and the Fairy Girl there is a breakable wall that needs Rock Smash to get through. Smash the wall and the stone will be in front of the large tower.
  
• Mewtwonite: Unknown Dungeon - It's in Hidden Pokemon Village -- where that guy was blocking at first. In there, you fight Mewtwo. After you catch him, his Mega Stone will appear.
  

Mega Stones Given to you:

• *Venusaurite/Blastoisite/Charizardite X/Y: Lumiose City - Professor Sycamore will give you the Mega Stone that goes with the Starter you chose. The other Stones can be bought from the owner of the Stone Emporium on Vernal Ave. for $1,000,000 each.
  ProTip: If you're Stylish enough, they can knock the price down for you. (from 500,000, 300,000, 150,000, 100,000, to 10,000)
  
• Gengarite: Given to you by a Hex girl in Laverre City.
  
• Aerodactylite Given to you in Ambertte Town.
  
• Ampharosite: Given to you in Azure Bay.
  
• Blazeikenite: Event Torchic was holding it.
  
• Gardeviorite: Lumious City - Diantha, who is inside Cafe Soleil, will trade you a Ralts that holds the Mega Stone. You can trade it for anything in your PC.
  
• Absolite: Kiloude City - Given to you by your Rival after beat them.
  
• Lucarionite: The Lucario that was given to you in the Tower of Mastery was holding it.
  
• Abomasite: Given to you after completing Frost Cavern.
